About Marissa T. Designs

Marissa T Designs beautiful jewelry inspired by the sea, nature and art and always made with love and soul

My name is Marissa and I'm the love and soul of Marissa T Designs. I adore making jewelry in my little studio by the sea.

I have always had a passion for jewelry, art, nature and the ocean (for as long as I can remember. I remember as a little girl always rummaging through my mother's jewelry box and playing dress up with her jewelry). My sister is very fashion forward and very creative and I think as a child I looked up to her and her fashion savvy self. Creativity runs in our bones.

I think my curiosity and love of all forms of art (from a young age) was always with me. I adored my painting classes in school and started my own jewelry collection when I was a teenager. I also LOVE and am truly inspired by nature, the ocean, and animal life.

I've had my shop on Etsy for a little while now, but, it is only until now (2015) that I have the opportunity to dive in, create and sell full time! (Via online and local). I thank etsy for being my platform! I am so excited to be living a new life in the Pacific North West and re-launching my Jewelry shop and creations. Feel free to send me an etsy convo (on etsy/or feedback on my blog) as I would love to hear from you.

As a handmade jewelry artisan, I want to create beautiful jewelry with quality materials that I can sell for reasonable prices. I have been making jewelry for almost 10 years now. I used to run my own business where I taught languages to adults and children.

Now, I have the opportunity to focus all my energies on my biggest passion. My jewelry designs.

I love creating things with my hands. I love envisioning a design in my head and trying it out with my wire, tools, gemstones ...etc.. I adore fashion and I just love pretty things. I'm constantly thinking of new designs that are fun & fashion forward to wear.

***I also love making meaningful things (with gemstones that have *healing or special properties and metals as well). I will be working more with personalized hand-stamped jewelry and yoga inspired jewelry.

I find it amazing that gemstones are NATURAL, ORGANIC, AND VIBRANT. I am now using (more cost effective) metals that have been *REPURPOSED (surgical stainless steel turned into chain and copper). I still have sterling silver as well in many of my designs. Copper is very healing and a wonderful metal (that has been recycled for hundreds of years/it's not wasted).

***MANY MANY of my pieces are ONE-OF-A-KIND. I really do love the whole process of creating a handmade piece of jewelry.

I hope you love my jewelry. I carefully pick out amazing jewels and pay careful attention to details when I design and make my jewelry with love and a bit of soul.

Thank you for being here and reading a little bit about me. I truly appreciate it. ~Marissa T.
